New Experiences

I think I have been fairly good at living by this quote, I try to mix up my holidays and not visit the same place over and over again…Although the past few months has seen me visit places that I definitely want to go back to (I’m looking at you NYC and Washington DC!) I find travelling to new places really broadens my knowledge of the world around me and I love learning about new cultures.

Our rule since moving to England is that we are not allowed to visit the same place twice, this is mostly because we have so many places that we want to go and fitting it all in is going to be a mission! I find it also means that you make the most out of a visit as you know you might never come back. This weekend it’s off to Cherbourg in France to explore the D-Day beaches, old fortresses and wartime submarines! I’ll also be making French wine and cheese a priority…ha

Everything Happens for a Reason

Having just moved to a new country, my life feels a bit upside down at the moment. I’m missing home, my family and friends and I’m not exactly in my dream job – but I try to think of myself  as an ‘everything happens for a reason’ person so this quote fits my life perfectly at the moment!
