I actually can’t remember the last time I rode a bike and buying one for the sake of making it into a bathroom cabinet(?) seems a bit weird, but I still love this idea!

Such a good way of making use of space in a small area! Our bedroom isn’t the biggest so finding new storage solutions is always awesome!!

Repurposed

Once again reflecting my love of all things that have been repurposed. This time it’s old floor boards that have been repurposed as a bed-head!

Books and leather chairs

I have decided that instead of collecting cheap and tacky souvenirs from the places we go, I want to buy an old book instead. I can write where it was purchased on the inside front cover as a reminder and they are not only a great souvenir but also a cool decor feature! I love big book shelf walls and the idea of sitting down in a comfy, old leather arm chair and picking up a good book is bliss!

DIY Watercolour

I love this website! You type in a location and it generates a map in watercolour that you can then print out and frame, brilliant!!

I love furniture that has been repurposed. Craft project and interior design rolled into one! I think this door come coffee table is really cool and a great feature piece.

Air BnB Style

Over our seven weeks spent travelling, we quite often used AirBnB. It’s awesome being able to see how people really live in different parts of the world and everywhere we stayed had a different style which was cool. Most of the time it was much cheaper than staying at a hotel and generally more luxurious! One place we stayed at in Washington was a converted 1900s row house basement. The studio apartment had a Scandinavian style to it and I fell in love with it as soon as we walked in the door! Ever since, I have been keeping an eye out for similar interiors. I absolutely love this splash back idea!!
